Android 1.6 Donut Now Available For Download For Archos 5 Tablet
I`m sure that every Archos 5 user was very disappointed last month when the Archos company had announced that the Android 1.6.53 update is available for download and few hours later they denied the launching, because of a: “last-minute major issues”.
Well, fortunately, this time is for real. I`ve just found out that the update is once again available for download and its major issues are solved.

Here are some new features and bug fixes of Android`s latest 1.6.53 version:

- Video Player: Add support for subtitles files: .srt, .sub, .smi, .ssa
- Audio Player: Add support for PNG and BMP album arts
