When talking about Massive Multiplayer Online RPGs (MMORPGs), it is very hard to decide which one game is better than the other. There are just so many factors you can like or not like in such a game that makes a completely objective review even more impossible than with other games. One way, however, to judge an MMORPG is the number of players. And with more than 300,000 monthly players, Knights Online has no reason to be shy. Knights Online (Very) Short Review

One thing that you will notice (and like) from the very first moments you enter the game is that the graphics are really not that bad (especially since we are talking about a free game). It might not compare to the graphics you get in Sword Of The New World (this one is also free to download and play), but I guess it will do if you are not that picky.

Other than that, and the great community (it gets even better if you pay for the upgrade), there is little to say about Knights Online. It is not bad, but it follows the “go there, complete that quest, form that clan, beat up other players” routine that most MMORPGs game have (with a few exceptions). The downside about this is that Knights Online gives you quite a little to grab a hold on (especially since there are a lot of better MMORPGs, both paid and free).

I know that you are disappointed about the very short review. It is this short because saying anything more about the game would mean going into a lot of detail about each aspect of the game, and this article does not intend that.

But let me put it this way: if you know other people that are playing Knights Online, then you should download it and give it a try, no question about it. If you want to try out this game out of pure curiosity, then I guess that’s also a good idea. But if you want to download Knights Online because you want a new or better than average experience, you might as well be looking someplace else (Cabal Online and Lineage II just pop out of my head at the moment if we are talking about free MMORPGs).
