Download Internet Explorer 5.2.3 For Mac OS X Free
Internet Explorer is the most popular browser on the internet and it’s going to stay like this for many years as it’s market share is bigger than 60%. Although it’s not that popular on Mac computers, Internet Explorer is also available on Apple’s Mac OS X platform and it’s doing a fairly good job. Internet Explorer 5.2.3 is a web browser with lots of features, but it can also provide offline browsing thanks to some good cache capabilities. Using IE 5.2.3. for Mac OS X, users can check when was the list time websites were updated and arrange HTML elements on a page using CSS (this is a useful feature especially for developers).
Internet Explorer 5.2.3 is the last version for Mac OS X users as Microsoft has decided to discontinue the browser because there were not enough users hence it wasn’t a viable business anymore. Although it does have some security leaks, some Mac OS X developers are still using Internet Explorer to create CSS files and others.

please install IE for Mac os
Let me get this straight.
You are promoting a 7-year-old browser and you say this has “lots of security fixes, performance enhancements, bug fixes, and enhanced browser compatibility with secure authentications”?!! Compared to what, browsers a decade old?!!
You must have been asleep for the past 7 years because even Microsoft recommends “that users migrate to more recent web browsing technologies such as Apple’s Safari and no longer allows people to download it off their own site!!
http://web.archive.org/web/20080106181017/http://www.microsoft.com/mac/products/internetexplorer/internetexplorer.aspx?pid=internetexplorer
It is obvious that you have a Internet Explorer bias but this is taking it too far!!
Let’s try it
Are you a moron?
IE is 7 years old, it is like walking into an unsafe alley with this thing. Not to mention the fact that Intel macs cannot run this thing properly.
Research before you post idiot
I seriously cannot believe a TECH BLOG is advising people to install something as old, as buggy and as vulnerable to attack as Internet Explorer is.
Its SEVEN YEARS OLD. You seriously loose ALL credibility as a tech news source for this post. Ridiculous.
hi, i’m a troll. i was linked to this post from a fan boi site. i’m going to use the same one-liner as everyone else, and fail to realize that this post is a publicity stunt.
i’m looking at you, andrew mcdonald
Look at me specifically all you like, but everybody else in the post has basically said exactly what i said originally.
As for the suggestion its a publicity stunt. Don’t you think it rather fails as a publicity stunt?
Lets all write a post which will ruin our credibility as a tech news source. But no worries, at least we’ll get loads of free publicity.
Duh!!
This blog entry is the single most stupid thing I have read this year and probably since a long, long, loooooooooong time. Who ever wrote that : please refrain from giving tech advices EVER again. You are worse than a noob.
Is this a joke?
Why are Windows so stupid?
It’s not April 1st yet guys! IE5 for Mac hasn’t been supported in years.
Are you fucking retarded?
“Accordingly, as of January 31st, 2006, Internet Explorer for the Mac is no longer available for download from Microsoft. It is recommended that Macintosh users migrate to more recent web browsing technologies such as Apple’s Safari.”
Source: Microsoft.
Are you serious?
This is the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever read.
Please update yourself before advising others.
This is a joke – right?
If there were any justice in the world, your domain and related trademarks would be confiscated from you and you would be banned from working in any technology based job ever again.
To think that someone with so little understanding of the job they are supposed to be doing worries me.
I realllllly hope this is satire……
Dude you need to check your calendar – it’s not April 1st yet!
Are you kidding?? IE 5 on the Mac is 7 years old and no one use it anymore because it is a piece of crap. Internet Explorer in general is a piece of crap by-the-way. And the 60% market share of IE won’t last long because there are far better and more secure browsers out-there.
Seriously, you must be joking right?
Will IE 5 install on my windows 95 box? It is fully updated with all the latest security fixes so I don’t think it should be a problem. It is even protected against Boza! Would you recommend updating to windows 98 or sticking with 95. If I’m going to update to a newfangled browser, I kind of feel I should update to an OS that is at least 12 years new.
The idiocy of this post is beyond astounding.
I’m downloading and rocking like its 2003 all over again!
Joke…
There is not a web developer or designer alive who would target IE5 on Mac. For one thing, NO ONE in their right mind is still using it, as Macs have far better options – Firefox, Safari, Chrome, Opera, Camino, etc. IE5 is also just plain horrible. Think IE6 is bad? IE5 on the Mac is far worse, worse even than IE5 on the PC.
Your lack of understanding of current software and the technologies that drive them(do you even know what CSS does?) make you completely unfit for writing a tech blog.
I’m not sure this browser is as advanced as I have been led to believe.
It doesn’t even render this site correctly…

Uh, wait. IE5 for CSS? Even if someone did use it for that purpose, IE on Windows barely follows the CSS standards in 2010. It’s unlikely that IE5 on Mac had real CSS support (in 2003).
You lose all credibility. Your next blog should talk about how you super-sized fries. That’s the extent of your qualifications.
Please die in a fire?
Can you please update the article to advise people that Microsoft advises people no longer use this browser? Maybe try and use it first? Almost all current web sites (including this one) do not work in it.
You are (genuinely) better off running the last version of Netscape Communicator instead of this!
This has to be a joke, you can’t seriously be telling people to download and use a browser that you noted was discontinued at least 4 years ago.
Not to mention the terrible writing of the article.
Guys, IE 5.2.3 will ALWAYS be one of the best web browsers. It doesnt have that many options but that IS what makes it so safe. And more importantly USER FRIENDLY!!
I been using it for ages and believe me, i know my browsers…
lol,
I nearly pissed myself I laughed so much while reading the article. You have written a classic, it is spreading all over the internet under the WTF sections.
I cant wait for your next article on DOS or Win 95
Ah Aaron, I just seen your post. Stop it man, stop it now. I have already changed my underwear now I have pissed myself again….
Dam this site is more classic then the dancing hamster.
Hi guys,
In a country like mine, South Korea, almost all well known commercial or govermenntal site are designed for only IE browser. Currently I don’t have Mac but only iphone, but I understand Mac users have many difficulties when they are using many significant web sites in Korea.
Now I am considering to get a Mac soon but web browsing is a big burden to me, so I read this article with a good interest. What kind of danger and how much danger is there if I use IE5 on Mac to access IE only web site like banking company’s?
