DAEMON Tools is an application that allows you to create DVD/CD images of your disks and mount these images on virtual disk drives while emulating the protections used. You can also choose between IDE/SCSI behavior for the virtual drives. In the Pro Advanced version, Daemon Tools can emulate up to 32 SCSI virtual drives and 2 IDE adapters (only 16 SCSI virtual drives and no IDE adapter were supported in the standard version). Also, in the Pro version, you can convert a CD/DVD image from one format to another of your choosing.

Using Daemon Tools Pro you can mount almost any type of image file: .nrg, .pdi, .isz, .iso, .cue, .mds, .cdi, .b5t, .b6t and others. Daemon Tools allows you to use the images stored on your hard drive like they were burnt on a DVD/CD, increasing portability and reading speed. You can also organize the collection, convert the images already created or password-protect them. The application is fully operable using the system tray icon or from the command line interface.
