Alcohol 120% is a program you can use for CD/DVD emulation and recording. Using this software you can create virtual images or backup copies for any disk you want.

Alcohol allows you to create virtual disks of your CDs and DVDs. You can then mount them on one of the 31 virtual CD & DVD drives Alcohol 120% allows you to create. This way you won’t have to change the disks every time you need them (risking physical damage to the CD or DVD). You will just mount the disk image you want and you are set to go. Or you can mount the most used drives into separate virtual drives so you won’t have to change anything. You can choose almost any disk image file format you want : MDS, CCD, BIN, CUE, ISO, CDI, BWT, BWI, BWS, BWA and others.

Another advantage you have is that images you will load will work many times the speed of a physical disk. You are also only a few clicks away from creating backup copies of you games, music CDs or movies.
The burner Alcohol 120% comes with allows you to create multiple DVDs at the same time (of course, if you have more than one CD/DVD writers mounted) and few drives it cannot work with.

Alcohol 120% requires little resources, being able to work with as little as 32 MB of RAM memory (if you have only one recorder) and can be easily used by any user. You can download a 30 day trial that will limit you to 6 virtual drives (31 are allowed in the full version) and you will not be able to write on more than 2 drives (8 are supported in the full version).
