FeedDemon 3 is now available for download and, man is this application sweet in so many ways. Bradsoft really did their best with this one as the new features and the visual enhancements not only call for the upgrade if you are using a previous user, but if you never used FeedDemon before, you might want to give it a spin.

First of all, the Google Reader integration is great as you can tag and share items (you can even add your own comment to something before sharing it) with Google Reader from FeedDemon. Don’t worry about the syncing, it is done automatically.

If you are looking for a twitter client, FeedDemon is also probably your best choice. This app converts the short URLs into the original URL, takes the hashtags from tweets and makes them smart hyperlinks. In addition, you can even reply to a tweet directly from FeedDemon.

Another cool thing worth talking about is the Feed Search option. Enter your keywords and the app will display the search results from engines like Bing, Twitter, Flickr, Techmeme, etc. Other features include embedded video viewer and podcast support, among others.

This was not meant to be a blind praise for the application, as it does have some things that can be improved, but it is an application that can prove to be really useful in a lot of ways. It is free to use if you can deal with the ads, but you can pay $10 via paypal to get rid of them.
