Windows 7: How to remove the Windows 7 RC build info from your desktop

The Windows 7 RC Build info on the desktop looks really bad and it’s useless, so you might want to remove it. To do so, you have to follow the next steps:

1. Download the patch here.
2. Unzip it.
3. Find out if you’re using a 32bit or 64bit version of Windows 7.
4. Right click on either RemovewatermarkX64.exe ( for 64bit ) or RemovewatermarkX86.exe ( for 32 bit ).
5. Choose Run as Administrator.
6. A prompt will ask you if you want to continue or not.
7. Press Y.
8. A successful message will be shown.
9. Reboot your computer.

If your desktop is clean now, then you are done, if not, the you also have to follow those steps:

1. Go to Start.
2. Type Command.
3. Right click Command Prompt.
4. Choose Run as Administrator.
5. Type mcbuilder.exe.
6. Press Enter.
7. After a few minutes if will finish.
8. Close command prompt.

Reboot your computer again and the Windows 7 RC build info will be gone from your desktop.
