Windows 7: How to disable the Aero shake feature in Windows 7

Windows 7 allows you to minimize all inactive windows by shaking the active winow. If you don’t use this feature and want to disable it, you will have to follow those steps:

  1. Press Start + R.
  2. Type regedit then press Enter.
  3. Choose the key HKEY_CURRENT_USER, Software, Policies, Microsoft, Windows.
  4. Click the Edit button, then click New and Key.
  5. Set the name of the key to “Explorer”.
  6. click again the Edit button, then New and DWORD Value 32-bit.
  7. Set the name of the value to “NoWindowMinimizingShortcuts” and double click it.
  8. In the value data enter “1″.
  9. Click OK.
  10. Reboot your computer and now the feature should be disabled.
