How To Delete Cookies From Internet Explorer 6, Internet Explorer 7 and Internet Explorer 8 On XP/Vista

Before deleting them, you might want to save or export them using the Import/Export Wizard in your Internet Explorer. In addition, you should be aware that this method will delete the cookies only for the user you are currently on. To delete all the cookies from your Internet Explorer, you should log into every user and follow the same steps.

Here are the steps you should follow to delete cookies from Internet Explorer 8:

1. Close all open Internet Explorer windows.
2. If you are using Windows XP, go to Start->Run and then type “inetcpl.cpl” and then press enter. If you are using Windows Vista go to Start, go to the Start Search box, type “inetcpl.cpl” and then press Enter.
3. In the window that has been opened, go to the General tab-> Browsing History -> Internet Properties and then click the delete button.
4. Go to the “Delete Browsing History” box, select only the Cookies check box and then press Delete.

If you are using Internet Explorer 7, here is how to delete the cookie files:

1. Close every Internet Explorer and Windows Explorer windows.
2. If you are using Windows Vista, go to Start and, in the Start Search box, type “inetcpl.cpl” and press enter. On Windows XP go to Start->Run, type “inetcpl.cpl” and press enter.
3. Go to General->Internet Properties->Browsing History and click on the “Delete Cookies” button.
4. At the “Delete Browsing History” box, click on Delete Cookies and press “Yes” in the “Delete Cookies” dialog box.

Finally, here is how to delete cookies from Internet Explorer 6:

1. Close all Windows Explorer and Internet Explorer 6 instances.
2. Go to Start->Run and type “inetcpl.cpl”. Press enter.
3. Go to General->Temporary Internet Files-> Delete Cookies and click on the “Delete Cookies” button.
4. Make sure you select only the “Delete all offline content” box and click on “OK“.

Hope this did the trick for you. Now you should have removed all cookies from your Internet Explorer.
