October 22nd, 2009

On midnight Eastern time, the calendar turned it’s page to October 22. While it is not a holiday, it is probably the most important day of 2009 in the computer industry: Microsoft officially launched its newest Windows version, called Windows 7.

For those of you that have been living under a rock for the past year or so, Windows 7 is considered as a well polished version of Windows Vista that brings us a lot of features while actually requiring less computer resources than Vista.

The beta version of Windows 7 got exciting review from almost everybody that tested the OS (and is not a Microsoft hater). Microsoft hopes that the good feedback will be continued by the broad audience as Vista was launched with a lot of enthusiasm but received lousy feedback from the users, being considered even by Microsoft a failure.
