Acer Aspire 1420p Tablet On Display At Press Event In China
In the tablet frenzy that is going on in the IT industry at the moment, Acer decided to enter the madness with the Acer Aspire 1420p. And we must say that this is a good looking fellow, with a bunch of interesting features.
On display today at a press event in China, the Aspire 1420p will feature a 11.6 backllit LED touchscreen with multitouch, up to 8 GB or RAM memory along the Intel Celeron processor, integrated graphics, a Hard Drive capable of holding 320GB of information. Add the 802.11b/g/Draft-N, the multi-card reader, the optional 3G to the equation and this fellow gets even more interesting.
But the main attraction for the Acer Aspire 1420 is the screen. According to the product page on the Acer US website (yeah, that’s right, it is coming to the US), the rotatable screen can be plied so the tablet can be used for presentations, as a digital photo frame (that’s slightly exaggerated, but we will go with it), it can be used to take notes directly on the screen or as an e-book/map reader. These functions can be performed with ease taking advantage of the built-in accelerometer that will rotate the image automatically.
