Verizon Announces Motorola Droid / Sholes Before 2009 Ends
A particular version of FCC’s last week release, the Android slider from Motorola, has an interesting feature prepared for us; WCDMA on the 850 and 1900MHz bands. We could say the device could have Canada as a target but could also be destined for Latin America, considering that’s their preferred spectrum. The upcoming QWERTY-equipped droid is likely to be locked up as a US exclusive product by Verizon; but chances are the product will be unlocked and imported soon enough, so we can all feast on Motorola’s latest android. Apart from the already known features, Motorola Droid also brags about its new 500MHz ARM Cortex processor and facial recognition. Rumors say that 2010 will be the host year for a twin of the previous mentioned Droid. Aside from the missing QWERTY keyboard, we’re pretty clueless about its packed features.
