This is not right, this is just wrong! Apple has announced that it has approved more than 100,000 apps for the App Store. At the moment users can download about 93,000 applications from the App Store for their iPhones and iPods, however, the Cupertino-based company approved 101,713 apps for the masses. The developers of the apps that don’t feature at the moment at the App Store should hurry up because you never know when Apple is going to change their approval policy.

Last month Apple announced that it hit the 2 billion App Store downloads milestone, a time when there were only 85,000 apps available. According to industry experts, in mid-2010 there will be 200,000 apps approved by Apple, while the end of 2010 will give users the possibility to choose between 250,000 App Store apps for iPhone and iPod Touch.

This is why the iPhone is the best, this is why it has become so popular. Users can choose between so many apps, and they can’t find everything they need at the BlackBerry App World, Android Market, Windows Marketplace, and Palm App Catalog. The Android Market is the only online app store which looks promising and which might catch Apple’s App Store, but that’s a heavy task and we need more and better Android-based smartphones.
