Samsung is still supporting Windows Mobile probably because it has such a great relationship with Microsoft. The i8000 Omnia II is not exactly a secret and we already know that it’s coming to Verizon, but when and how much is it going to cost? We’ve seen so many pictures of the Samsung Omnia II that we almost got bored of it even before its release, however, the latest series of screenshots was exactly what was needed to spark the fire once again.
AI.rs has decided to show us what the 3.7-inch 480×800 WVGA AMOLED resistive touchscreen is capable of thanks to the Samsung TouchWIZ 2.0 user interface. Windows Mobile 6.5 sucks and it’s not the first time I’ve said this. I know I’m going to draw a lot of negative attention from WinMo lovers but this software is so slow and ugly that any of its great features don’t even count.
You should hit the link at the end of post in order to see the full set of pictures and you’ll see how much work Samsung did in order to repair what Microsoft broke. The Samsung i8000 Omnia 2 is a wonderful smartphone with a great hardware, and I think the phone would provide a better user experience if Google’s Android 2.0 Eclair would take over.
P.S. Check out the video below the screenshot and let us know what do you think about the Samsung i8000 Omnia II.
