The word was out that the Motorola Droid smartphone was coming out this November, we did not know exactly when was the official launch date. Now Verizon Wireless cleared that thing out for us: The Motorola Droid’s release date is November 6 at Verizon Wireless. Droid’s price is set to about $199 if you sign a contract with Verizon Wireless and also make use of the $100 mail-in rebate.
The Verizon Motorola Droid will be running the Android 2.0 OS and will be packed with all sorts of exciting features such as the 3.7 inch display capable of a 854 x 480 pixel resolution, a free memory card with 16GB of storage space and the dual-LED flash, 5MP camera.
But this is not all: the Verizon Motorola Droid will also feature a beta version of Google Maps Navigation. The Droid is the first phone with this capability. This way you won’t need a GPS navigation system anymore: the Motorola Droid from Verizon will give you all the indications you need.
