Apple is now pushing iTunes 9.0.2 via the software update wizard, and if it were to ask me, I think this update was released for two reasons: to support recently unveiled Apple TV 3.0 software and to break Palm Pre syncing. Congratulations Apple, you made it! Besides many other features like iTunes LP, iTunes Extras, Genius Mixes, and new UI for the iTunes Store, the iTunes 9.0.2 update will break your Palm Pre sync and support Apple TV 3.0 software if you downloaded it.

iTunes 9.0.2 Software Update comes packed with a new design, new column browser, new iTunes Store look to improve navigation, Home Sharing to control all iTunes collections on all computers in a household, iPod Nano 5th generation Sync, iPod Classic sync, iPod Touch 3rd generation sync, improved iPhone / iPod syncing which allows users to organize your handhelds’ homescreens via iTunes, enhanced iPod / iPhone syncing which is now more flexible, new iTunes library section for iTunes U items, and HE-AAC encoding / playback among many others.
