T-Mobile has been down nation-wide, still faces outages
T-Mobile has been down for more than an hour now and according to their reps, the issue might persist longer, though nothing is sure.
There are lots of users who have noticed the outage, though their signal bars indicate the status is ok. When users try to make a call, they either hear the busy tone or get disconnected directly, which is really annoying.
Unfortunately, there is no official response from the T-Mobile team and all the information we have is from disappointed users and reps who admitted they are facing a nation-wide outage.
Hopefully they will fix the problem and let us know what happened soon enough. We will keep you updated !
Update: T-Mobile confirmed the outage. Read their statement below:
“T-Mobile customers may be experiencing service disruptions impacting voice and data. Our rapid response teams have been mobilized to restore service as quickly as possible. We will provide updates as more information is available.”

I am in Los Angeles and we can’t receive calls.
We are out in Salt Lake City Utah too. This is a strange outage. I cant through to my wife or home (both on the t-mobile network), but I can call other phones.

Out in Chicago too – We can dial out but no incoming and no bars
No service in the Tampa and Orlando Florida area
Columbia, SC networks, aiken , greenvill can still call out but cant recieve
No service in Atlanta. Their website seems to be flaked out too. Argh!!
mine was out too but back up now. they need to “get more” towers or something….
We have 3 phones on our account. My husband is the only one who can get through to us on our tmobile and home phones. We however cannot call out.

Arghh! Not working in Chgo either…
Just drove from Corpus Christi TX to San Antonio TX, no calls possible the entire drive. Still nothing in San Antonio TX. Part of the time there were bars, but no outgoing calls possible, other times it was not even possible to register on the T-Mobile network.
Symptoms I received in no particular order of frequency:
- Ringing a few times then “fast busy”
- Immediate “fast busy”
- Dead air
No T-Mobile tonite in Cleveland

im on AT&T but my girlfriend is on T-Mobile and i havent been able to get through to her since about 5:20

Yep…no problem up here in Idaho. We can call all day long with no issues at all. Clear as a bell!

Service was down in Atlanta for over an hour but we just got calling back. Still no voice mail or in/outgoing texts however.
Well, BlackSn0w was released today. I guess T-Mobile couldn’t handle all the people leaving AT&T. Or maybe Apple was right, jailbreak is a national security risk. Someone hack T-Mobile because someone was jailbroken! Ha

No service in NJ .. nothing.. for about an hour now and its 9:07 pm .. i called t-mobile.. they said its a global outage and 30 million people are without service… i told the guy on the phone that the first thing they should do is a bulletin news flash on tmobile.com…

Yeah Im here in northern california. First our data went out, couldnt find out why I couldnt send a txt message. Hopfully they Fix this soon. its 8:00pm here.

In Bensalem, PA, Northeast suburb of Philadelphia, PA. My service has been out all afternoon through the evening. I am SO upset about this!! As a customer I should have received a text warning about it a few days prior. They can text me about those call tones. No calls, in or out. No text. I can’t reach T-Mobile, even on a landline!! They are HORRIBLE!!! If I wasn’t locked in this contract I’d switch to Verizon!!!!
Hey, Norcal just got service back. Ive sent a couple of txts and got a call. Not sure if its for a bit or if its fixed.
My service has finally been restored (Honolulu, HI) as of 7:35pm PST. I know some folks in my area are still having problems though.
I’m here in Orange County, southern California with Tmobile. I can’t make or receive calls to Tmobile customers. This is not the first outage i’ve experienced with them…. About a year and half ago, towers went down and I couldn’t receive or make calls to anyone for 3 days. So I won’t be suprised if THIS outage lasts for even longer. I’m switching to another company.
