Olympus E-P2 Officially Unveiled, Now Available For Pre-order, Shipping In December
I’m not an amateur photographer but this Olympus camera looks good and Engadget seems to agree with me. The Olympus E-P2 was released in order to correct all the issues with the previous generation, the E-P1 which was released a few months ago (back in June to be more specific). Olympus’ latest camera features a new black metal body, new accessory port for VF-2 Electronic View Finder which can be replaced with a mic adapter EMA-1, new continuous autofocus tracking system which works for both images and videos, new art filters, and full manual control.
The good thing about the Olympus E-P2 is that you can connect it to a HDTV and then use TV’s remote to control the camera’s playback functions. The Olympus PEN E-P2 is available in two versions: one with ED 14-42mm f3.5/5.6 Zuiko Digital Zoom Lens, and the other with 17mm f2.8 Zuiko Digital Zoom Lens. Both of them are available with Electronic View Finder and are available at Amazon for pre-order for only $1,099.99.
We don’t have an exact release date, but the Olympus E-P2 will be shipped in December 2009, probably in time for the Holidays. If you want the camera, then pre-order the one with ED 14-42mm f3.5/5.6 Zuiko Digital Zoom Lens right here, and the one with 17mm f2.8 Zuiko Digital Zoom Lens right here.
