WalMart is preparing for Black Friday by “signing an agreement” with RIM concerning BlackBerry smartphones. The deal says that if users buy a BlackBerry smartphone between November 14th and November 21st then they’ll receive a $100 WalMart gift card. If you want to receive the $100 then you will have to buy the smartphone from WalMart “physical” stores or at the WalMart online store.

At the moment there are no information to say that the phones will be available at discounted rates as WalMart says that you’ll receive only the $100 gift card. Here are the smartphones which qualify for the deal: AT&T BlackBerry Curve 8310 and Bold 9000, Sprint BlackBerry Curve 8330 in Red or Titanium, T-Mobile BlackBerry 8520 in Black, White or Frost and Pearl 8120 in Emerald, and Verizon BlackBerry Storm and Storm 2.

Like said: it’s not such a special deal, but you can’t say no to a $100 gift card at WalMart. Oh, there’s one more thing: the difference between in-store and online store purchase is that you’ll receive the gift card instantly at a physical store, and if you buy online it will take more than a month before it shows up in your mailbox.
