Xbox live + Facebook=?
Is there any difference between a console game and a social media network? Yes, it is, but just for the moment. Why am I saying this? Because it is obvious that it the owners of social media networks and the owners of the gaming consoles are giving their best in eliminating any difference between them.
Starting from today, 17 November 2009, the Xbox Live users will have the opportunity to play their favorite game and sharing their last updates on Facebook, without having to disconnect from the console. Microsoft announced that Xbox Live will offer the possibility of connecting to several social media networks directly from the console.
Though, because this is a new feature, not all the users will have this option enabled. In the first phase, just the Gold and the Silver members will be able to enjoy of this feature.

Also, besides this, Xbox users are offered the possibility of streaming high-definition video through the Zune media player and also, Last.fm will stream non-stop on one Xbox Live Music Channel.
It seems that in a short period of time, there will be no more differences between social media networks and gaming consoles. In fact, brand new social media networks will have to offer free gaming consoles, in order to attract traffic.
