During the A&T vs Verizon war, Sprint is minding its own business and besides concentrating on deploying 4G technology, the carrier has released an update for the HTC Hero. Lots of users complained about a SMS bug found on the Hero, but it’s gone now thanks to firmware 1.56.651.2 which is available for OTA download. If nothing showed up on your screen from Sprint, then you can check for the OTA update yourself by going to Settings -> About -> System Updates -> then hit Firmware Update, and you’re ready to go. Wait for the phone to reboot, and let us know how the new firmware works for you!
P.S. At the moment there is no changelog released by Sprint so excuse for not delivering more info about the HTC Hero OTA update.
