According to Microsoft CEO, Steve Ballmer, Microsoft sold a double amount of Windows 7 copies in comparison to any previous version in a comparable time frame.

This includes OEM and retail copies, since the official preselling started. Windows 7 really is a huge success, is a mature operating system, which eliminates all problems that Vista had.  It is ideal for a middle budget computer, with decent hardware configuration.
