The BlackBerry Pearl 8100 is a phone that many have loved, and some still do.

It represents a unique combination of a regular non-smartphone and the concepts that stand behind every BlackBerry. The phone, in fact, is not that dumb at all, and it really sticks in user’s minds thanks to its design or, to be more specific, the trackball (the Pearl).

The good news is that BlackBerry is preparing a sequel for the Pearl, called the BlackBerry Pearl 9100. With a curvy and swirly design that is guaranteed to draw attention, the BlackBerry Pearl 9100 will have basically the same dimensions. One difference (that we don’t know if we like) is that the BlackBerry Pearl 9100 won’t actually have a Pearl, but instead a touchpad will be used for the same operations. We hope that BlackBerry won’t reach for more than the exact same thing that the BlackBerry Pearl 8100 did for its time.

Will The BlackBerry Pearl 9100 Be A Righteous Successor To The Original Pearl?
