I don’t think the fact that the new Samsung Omnia II is a veritable opponent for the already popular Motorola Droid will surprise anyone. Equipped with a 3.7 inched 65K WVGA AMOLED Display with a 480×800 resolution, this new handset is expected to hit the scene on the 2nd of December. Just in time for an inspired Christmas gift I might say. If you’re skeptical regarding its price tag, well there’s no need; you will be able to make it your own for only $200 on contract right after a $100 mail in rebate. If you encounter any difficulties in finding the way to one the presented handsets, then you should know that Verizon plans to make the phone available for you on telesales, in retail stores and on-line. Omnia II is also packing the new Windows Mobile 6.5 and has a 5 megapixel camera with face recognition. Its battery has a life-time up to 10 hours and has an impressive 2GB/8GB/16GB internal memory. Your choice. All-in-all, a worthy opponent for Verizon’s Moto Droid.
