If you want an upgrade for your desktop, then I`m sure that Atom`s latest processor is what you are looking for. Even if you will have to wait until 2011 this is definitely not a waste of time.

As you know Atom has already announced the launching date for Pineview, which is (for those who don`t know yet) January 2010, but the CPU I`m talking about is way better.

It`s called Cedarview (32nm CPU) and it seems that it will include a new memory controller, which gives you the ability to accommodate DDR3 RAM, and when I said DDR3 RAM I wasn`t talking about a regular, but one with 1066 support.( to make you a better picture, the DDR3 1066 is something that matches  with Intel`s Core i7-Bloomfield memory support.)
