Almost 2500 people from AOL’s working force will loose their jobs this year because AOL is intending to save about $300 million every year, only from the employees sector. Though, even if they do such a thing, they won’t save all those money, because AOL will have to pay about $200 million dollars in the first months of 2010.

One of the AOL’s CEO, Tim Armstrong announced his staff that he will even refuse the bonus for this year. Though, in a group message received by all the workers from his staff, he assured everybody that they will take their bonuses, even if some of them will loose their jobs. Also, from his statement, we can find out that instead of paid workers, AOL will seek for voluntaries willing to work for them, in order to get a good recommendation and maybe a job, after the economic crisis is over.
