Facebook Privacy Changes Will Actually Push Users To Share More Personal Details
Earlier this morning while having my daily cup of coffee while spending time on Twitter and Facebook, I noticed that the latter was asking something from me. Here we go: the new Facebook Privacy Settings. I don’t know what do you think about the Facebook privacy changes, but I’m very disappointed with them. First of all: if someone wants to share information with everybody, Facebook will “somehow” not allow it and some details will remain hidden. Second of all: if a user wants to share all of his personal details only with his friends, Facebook still manages to share certain information to everybody.
Facebook was criticized because it discloses too much personal information of its users and because it doesn’t provide a better way to allow millions of users to control their privacy settings. Personally, I think that the Facebook privacy changes are not good at all. These changes do not allow users to better control their privacy, nor they’ll allow users to hide more information.
I don’t know what to say more as a Facebook spokesman said that the world is changing and open information is where the world is going. Also he added that if users do not want to share certain information then they should leave the fields blank. How about that? So basically Facebook is saying that I shouldn’t enter personal details if I don’t want to share information, when FB should be a safe place for its users. That’s it, no more comments. Move over to facebook.com to learn more about the crap Facebook privacy changes.
