This will be a good thing for them because the warranty costs will drop very much. If a user will screw the hardware, the label will be damaged and Apple will void the warranty.

This is a measure to protect the devices from being tampered with any kind of device while they are in the warranty period. In many situations hardware manufacturers had to pay the costs of products which were damaged by unauthorized service technicians, because the sails could be removed and undamaged.

News involves another patent of Apple. In this one is about the increased role of accelerometers, in control and navigation on their mobile devices. So people by a simple shake could navigate through the menu, select and play the next song and more functions could be accessed.
