Google is preparing to release the Android 1.5 version and today the early release is out for developers. The new version comes with APIs for home screen widgets, soft keyboards, live folders, and speech recognition. The early Android 1.5 SDK can be already downloaded here.

The developer tools and SDK structure have been also modified and further releases will include multiple versions of the platform, starting from now. The Android Developers blog will help you use the new platform, APIs, OpenGL, asynchronous tasks, system settings, and new Activity callbacks, so you should keep in touch if you’re looking further on creating an application.

I can’t wait to see what other great apps the developers might release.
