I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but every time Apple releases a new generation of the iPhone or iPod Touch, their memory doubles. For example, first was the 8GB iPhone, next year was the 16GB iPhone, then the 32GB. And the same goes for the iPod Touch, only doubling the memory capacity. Seeing Toshiba’s 64GB NAND flash memory all on a single chip, I don’t believe it will be anyone’s surprise of the year if we see the same technology running for Apple’s devices. So if your rather large iTunes library was a set back for you, you can be quite reassured this upcoming year with the memory that the iPhone and iPod Touch will be packing.
