EyeTV, transforms your iPhone into a mobile TV device, using 3G device, and not only Wi-Fi

After HAVA, Slingbox, and other mobile TV apps for iPhone, is time for guys from Elegato Software to reveal their latest app, EyeTV, which allows users to watch their favorite TV shows and recorded videos straight on iPhone. The big advantage among competitors that provide similar solutions is that EyeTV is able to work also on 3G connections, not only in Wi-Fi spots.

The app works by using Safari to navigate to a special webpage: https://live3g.eyetv.com/, in that page user will sign in to access his account, and after user will be able to select and watch his favorite TV. EyeTV software uses the HTTP streaming standard developed by Apple and takes advantage of the iPhone’s hardware acceleration to deliver the highest possible playback quality and longer battery life.

Now the only reason that would make impossible the view on iPhone is a signal coverage gap or the crash of the 3G network and broadband.
