4Chan Users Tired Of Spam Decided To Deploy A Massive DDoS Attack Towards Sharecash
4chan, the weirdest place on the web, has proven that it’s stronger than ShareCash. If you are a 4chan constant reader then you should know that some people are using Sharecash to spam the site’s boards with links pointing to malicious software, child pornography and more. All of this has changed when 4chan founder Moot took the problem into his own hands and asked Sharecash to take measures against its users because Sharecase is the root of the problem.
Sharecash rewards its users with 30 to 60 cents for each of heir downloaded file therefore many of them use the file sharing website to cause harm to lost of users and to spam websites. Well, after Moot announced that Sharecash is the problem because nobody “controls” the users, 4chan users decided to “make” some DDoS attacks on the file sharing website. The result? Sharecash was down for many hours and the spam attacks against 4chan stopped.
Although Moot didn’t officially commanded the DDoS attacks, he published a link exchange between him and a Sharecash owner, the former demanding the latter to shut down spammers’ accounts, and from that point 4chan users knew what it had to be done. Moot was probably annoyed by the fact that Sharecash denied the existence of spam attacks against 4chan and said that the file sharing website has nothing to do with 4chan spam.
I don’t know how is this going to end, but I bet it will get interesting. More details soon to come so stay tuned!
