Software update available for Nook eBook reader via OTA
In a previous release, Barnes&Noble announced that soon the company will make available a major update for Nook, which will fix all bugs from the previous version and the usage of the reader will get improved. Nook1.1, software version, will repair most of the problems that were really annoying when users were trying to maneuver their materials stored on the device. Barnes&Noble worked to all chapters of this update: speed, stability, display of the content, connection and page numbering.
So Nook 1.1 brought a major improvement on formatting and displaying the content, downloaded from different sources. My Library, The Daily, and Setting are displayed faster; the access to documents is easier as it should be for an eBook reader and page numbering was fixed. Nook will automatically detect when a Barnes&Noble store is around and special offers will be displayed for consumers. The reader will display now information like signal strength, battery level and clock, into a status bar.
Nook 1.1 software update will be available Over the Air (OTA) via B&N’s Fast & Free wireless service and Wi-Fi for registered users or manually to install the update via a USB connector. Enjoy reading and take advantage of what you missed before.
