Apple has successfully managed to occupy the first place in the Top 10 Mobile Phones in Use in the U.S. with their iPhone, which is the “living proof” of the fact that a company with just one or two popular devices can manage to sell more than companies with a variety of popular handsets, while the BlackBerry’s line is almost double that of Apple’s. 4% of all the U.S. residents that own a mobile phone have an iPhone in common; a percentage that tosses the iPhone on the top of the list, actually we think it’s a combination between the 3G and 3GS iPhones. Right on its tale, BlackBerry’s 8300 series can brag with a percentage of 3.7. The Motorola RAZR V3 series also managed to find their way to the U.S. customers, thus situating on the third place on this same list. Including the previously mentioned phone and excluding the BlackBerries from the 7th and 10th places, we can only find feature phones. We found out about this ranking from the Nielsen Company but we also found out some other interesting tips, such as the fact that people have so straightforward plans that they choose pre-paid phones. I bet u thought it was the lack of a contract didn’t you? or that since 2006 the households that now just use mobile phones have raised their percentage from 16 to 21% and 15% of them now own at least a smartphone.
