HTC Nexus One, The Google Phone, Now Official: Unlocked or T-Mobile; Verizon and Vodafone In Spring 2010
Not that it matters but the Google Phone aka Nexus One is now official. Google’s much expected Android Event took place yesterday and Android 2.1 was introduced aboard the HTC Nexus One. All the previous rumors regarding the Google Phone’s specs were true and now we can confirm that the Nexus One features a gorgeous 3.7-inch AMOLED touchscreen, 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 3.5mm headset jack, 5-megapixel camera with LED flash, GPS, digital compass, accelerometer, light sensor, proximity sensor, and a trackball.
The HTC Nexus One is shipping today to US, UK, Singapore, and Hong Kong for the price of $529 unlocked. If you are from the US then you can opt for three T-Mobile USA pricing: $179 for new customers, $279 for customers adding data plans, and $379 for customers upgrading their data plans. The good thing about the Google Phone shipping is that it’s free and it will reach your place overnight.
According to the Google Phone official webpage, the Snapdragon-based smartphone will hit Vodafone and Verizon in Spring 2010, probably for the same pricing and specs.
Recent leaks showed that the Google Phone doesn’t have the HTC branding, but at the Android Event it was confirmed that the phone will be packed with HTC-branding. Also you can customize your Google Phone with two lines of text for the right price (that’s a wild guess because we couldn’t find anything related to that).
You can read more about the Google Phone at www.google.com/phone and you can check the pricing details right here. Enjoy!

The engraving service is fact. There are two lines offered at no cost. However, it’s noted that shipping will be delayed 72 hours if engraving is chosen.
I ordered mine on January 5th with engraving, selected overnight shipping, and the phone arrived January 6th. I live in MN and am nowhere near a warehouse.
Just thought I’d chime in if people are worried about the extra time it “may” take.
