CES 2010: New Sony Alpha DSLR A450 available from February
To keep up the step with competition in the DSLR area, Sony extended Alpha DSLR with A450. The new camera has a 14.2 megapixels Exmo CMOS sensor and a powerful BIONZ processor for highly detailed, ultra-low noise images. The sensitivity of DSLR- A450 is so high that beautiful and natural images can be captured without using the flash even in low light. On the back side the DSLR has a fixed 2.-inch LCD display.
BIONZ processor allows cascade shootings at 5 fps and with Speed Priority mode enabled DSLR- A450 increases up to 7 fps, depending very much on shooting conditions and the writing speed of storage card. The anti-shake mode offers 4 steps of correction with all 30 lens and 2 teleconvertors available and also the camera is compatible with A-mount optics from Konica-Minolta.
A450 contains a high-capacity battery that allows up to 1000 snapshots until the next recharge, also has a SD/SDHC memory slot and a jack to connect directly to a HD ready TV. In the pack, Sony supplied additional software like: Image Data Lightbox, Image Data Converter SR, and Picture Motion Browser. The camera will be available from February 2010.
