The new gadget from Asus:E-reader DR-950 is the second of his kind .A few days ago , the 6-inch color E-reader by the name of DR-570 was announced and now we have news of the DR-950 model.It seems like the folks from Asus have suddenly changed plans for the e-reader market in 2010.

This new model has a 9-inch Sipix screen with 1,024 x 768 pixel resolution based on 16 levels of gray, similar to the Jinke reader.The surprise is that the touch-screen incorporated has a text-to-speech feature ,based on Svox engine, that supports 26 languages.

Additionally ,it has a web browser that works in portrait or landscape modes, a virtual keyboard and handwriting input, a RSS reader, and dictionary (with expandable database) with real-time translation.The sizes are 222 x 161 x 9-mm with a weight of 370-grams,used wisely.

It includes WiFi and HSPA (WiMax is optional) data radios, 3.5-mm headphone jack and stereo speakers, with 4GB of internal memory and SD Card expansion. Supported formats include PDF, TXT, Audible, MP3, and unprotected ePub.
