In the past few days Nokia has been sending invitations to an Ovi event which will take place tomorrow morning in London. If you ask me as well as other tech bloggers about this Nokia Ovi event, then we’d say that we’re going to witness the relaunch of the Ovi Store. Nokia has been planning this for quite a while as many users complained that the Ovi Store is years behind the App Store, Android Market, App Catalog, and the Windows Marketplace.
Last year in December, George Linardos, Nokia’s VP of Product and Media, said that a new Ovi Store called v2.0 will be launched sometime in Spring 2010, but it seems like things went well so Nokia’s app store will be here early. Nokia has prepared the Ovi Store 2.0 launch with care as last week a Nokia N900 firmware update to support the store was launched, and today, the Finnish-based company released a new video called “The Wonderful World of Ovi Store.”
You can watch the new Ovi Store video below. Hopefully, the Ovi Store will really become a wonderful world for apps! We’ll let you know tomorrow!
