HP slate release date set to 2010, the most feared Apple Tablet rival is no more a rumor!
HP Slate tablet, the solution to market invasion of so many Apple Tablet rumors (read HERE), and so many curious fans that say they have evidence of the Apple Tablet existence since October (read HERE), appears in a video with Phil McKinney, who it’s single purpose is to demonstrate the HP Slate performance.
The most interesting part of the video below is how easy can the HP slate tablet jump from an application to another ( let’s say e-book reader to movie player), using his Windows 7 platform. The Hp Slate is a tablet that runs Windows 7 just like an ordinary PC, with the start button and all its applications. Being powered by Windows 7 is great, but I am not sure how users will feel about this approach. We guess that smoother software is needed to make the tablet compatible with so various lifestyles.
It is still early to say big things; we still trust the talented team from HP TouchSmart.

HP Slate tablet coming in 2010 to battle with Apple Tablet
The HP Slate release date has been set to 2010, and with a tablet cost of approximately $1000.Judgeging by the price and the looks of the HP slate tablet, we hope that the rumor of being a wordy opponent against the Apple Tablet will transform into a fact. Watch the video below for more details:

well with Apples announcement of their iPad tablet to cost $499, it looks like HP will have to re-think thier $1000 price tag. We may see delays as they look for alternative technoolgy to lower the price.
no, the prices are appropriate- because unlike iPad, the Slate is a fully functioning computer as capable as any laptop. That’s not an “iPod Touch” version of Windows 7, that is literally Windows 7. If iPad was literally a touchable Snow Leopard machine- THEN $499 is quite a bargain. Right now, it’s literally just a big iPod Touch.
It is not at all fully functional – $1000 for an abortion of an interface vs. $300 for the same guts in a POS netbook with the required keyboard to make Win 7 useable? The slate is a joke with no release date for a punchline
Your writers need to learn how to write in English. This is some of the most poorly written garbage I’ve seen from a website that claims to be legitimate. Poor grammar, misspelled words, run-on sentences, and just plain awkward writing litter these articles like stripper cards on the Las Vegas strip.
The Hp Slate looks really good, I thinking $500-800; But I hope if you want 3G you don’t need a contract like the Ipad will have
iPad 3G has no contract – it is PAYG – start stop whenever, controlled from the iPad itself. Slate=FAIL
