Nokia was supposed to introduce two new smartphones today from a new series called “C.” The C3 and C5 didn’t make an appearance, and instead, Nokia decided to unveil a crappier smartphone than ones we can find on its current lineup. Behold the Nokia X6 16GB! Why crappier? Because it features 16GB of internal memory and it doesn’t “come with music.” The conventional Nokia X6 features 32GB of storage it “Comes with Music.”

Instead of releasing a worse phone, Nokia should have dropped the price of the X6. That’s just my opinion and it would have increased the sales of the 32GB X6. Anyway, the Nokia X6 16GB features a 3.2-inch capacitive touchscreen, 5-megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss lens and dual-LED flash, TV-out, Symbian S60 OS, Ovi Maps with free turn-by-turn navigation and others, and a bunch of pre-installed games like: EA Spore, Gameloft Asphalt4 and DJ Mix Tour.

The Nokia X6 16GB is expected to be launched this quarter in all markets for the price of €350. This version of the X6 will be available in four flavors including All White, All Black, White with Pink, and White with Yellow.

P.S. You can buy the Nokia X6 32GB in Blue here, and in Red here.

  • It is really stupid thought to release a phone with thickness of 31 mm. Are they going back to 97. Their N97 mini is 13 mm why cant they thought of designing it on same line.

I think their design team gone insane by designing bulky handset to compete with motorola droid, nexus one, iphone and htc hero
