“We want to kick of 2010 by introducing a magical and revolutionary product today”, these were the first words used by Steve after he climbed on the stage. If you didn’t know a new Apple store has just opened in New York City, a very clever thing to open a store in “the neighborhoods with our customers”. Another interesting fact that you should know about Apple is that it’s the largest mobile device in the world, larger than Sony and bigger than Samsung, even bigger than Nokia if you can imagine that. Maybe that’s how they stack up against all the other companies.

1991 was the first year when Apple shipped they’re Powerbooks, the first with a TFT screen, palm rests and integrated pointing device. Very nice features for 1991 but if you remember, in 2007 Apple reinvented the phone and just a few years later they’ve launched iPhone 3GS. Apple doesn’t want to stop here, how about a device that is better than the laptop and the smartphone, something in the middle. A device that can do every possible tasks like browsing the web, doing email, watching and sharing pictures with your friends, videos, music, games, reading ebooks and the list go on and on.

The new Apple Tablet that all of you have been waiting with baited breath is finally hear. The tablet it’s a half-inch thick, weighs just 1.5 pounds, with a 9.7-inch capacitive touchscreen IPS LCD display and it’s running a custom 1GHz Apple “A4” chip developed by the P.A. Semi team. Another very interesting thing is that the battery lasts on standby up to a month and in use 10 hours. It will come in 16, 32 and 64 GB sizes, a 30-pin Dock connector, a microphone, a speaker, Bluetooth, and 802.11n WiFi, accelerometer and a compass. Another great news is that you can run iPhone applications on it, either in a window or fullscreen.
