New York Time already had an iPhone app which has been downloaded by over 3 million people already. Though now they wanted to create something special just for the iPad and it seems like they’ve done it. NYT’s app looks just like an old, printed newspaper, but it does have a bit more features than it, fortunately.

I consider it will be great for people who really can’t get past the old design to read the news from a newspaper’s website. The iPad application does have a few more features than a simple printed newspaper, as I’ve told you before. It does have drop-down menus and videos that can be played directly from the app, so you will have everything you need. Also text can be resized with a pinch.

That’s all about the NYT’s app features, but it should need too many features to make it a good one. I wonder if this could really save the newspaper industry, though I doubt it, considering not many will afford to get an Apple iPad so they can read the news in an old style.
