Larry Page to become a father this spring 37 year old Larry Page, president and co-founder of Google will become a father this fall as his 29 year old wife, Lucy is expecting a baby this fall. This was confirmed by a friend of the couple on Friday for Mercury News. So far, the couple did not declare anything for the press, so we can only guess whether it will be a boy or a girl.

The other Google co-founder, Sergey Brin is a father since December when his wife, Anne has given birth to their first son, Benji.
The Pages have met after a Google’s IPO, while Lucy was still a graduate student at Stanford. Their relationship was also joined by a competition over which one of them will be the first to get a Ph.D. This is a “battle” Larry Page has already lost this January when his wife got a doctorate at Stanford in biomedical informatics.

Larry co-founded Google in 1998, and dropped out of Stanford’s computer science program. Despite this fact, the University of Michigan is planning to offer Page an honorary degree when the spring semester starts this year. Lucy stated clearly: “Honorary degrees don’t count.”

It is highly speculated that once both co-founders will be fathers, the Google company will also be affected. It is rumored that some employees with families did not regard their working place, filled with tech talks and late-night code-jams with much affection.

Google has taken some steps towards environmental protection, with the installation of low flow toilets in Googleplex and several other measures took to prevent global warming, but now their first priority will be taking care of their baby, the real one, not the search engine.

The same friend that declared that Larry Page will become a father this spring also stated that the Pages will try to increase their privacy during the pregnancy. It is well known that Lucy, a former model has been followed by Paparazzi at Stanford and several gossip blogs have published photos took Necker Island during their wedding.

It remains to be seen how this will affect the Google Company.
