Windows Mobile 7 To Be Called Windows Phone 7, Coming At MWC 2010 Without Multitasking and a Phone
Microsoft officials repeatedly said that more details about Windows Mobile 7 will be released during the Mobile World Congress 2010, starting next week in Barcelona, Spain. The good thing, though, is that details about the much-expected software are leaked before its release, but this set of rumors is disappointing rather than exciting. According to PPCGeeks, Windows Mobile 7 will not support multitasking which is a very weird thing for a software which pretends to be adopted by business consumers.
Sources claim that WinMo 7 will be called Windows Phone 7 and that we won’t see any phones at MWC 2010. The user interface of the mobile OS has been dubbed as “alive, soulful, and very clean,” it will resemble the Zune HD UI, it will support push notifications (but that’s all so no multitasking), no Adobe Flash support until September, and it’s codenamed “Metro.”
Windows Phone 7 will feature full Zune, Xbox, and social networks integration, while the browser is better than the one on the iPhone 3G, but still trailing behind the one found on the iPhone 3GS. In conclusion we’d like to announce you that WinMo 7 will finally support OTA updates, a great option for many users. I don’t know if these details are true… no multitasking? I don’t really believe this so I’m simply going to wait until MWC 2010 next week. So Microsoft… what’s cooking?

Windows Phone 7

It’s all very shocking, actually.
•No multi-tasking.
•No freedom to download the apps you choose.
•Windows Mobile 7 will be a closed platform.
Microsoft will lock-down control of Windows Phone 7’s app ecosystem. You can only purchase apps from Microsoft. You are forbidden from installing your own apps off the memory card.
Booooooo!
