Diablo 3 Release Date could be 2010 according to official CEO
Diablo 3 is one of the sacred monsters planned to be release soon by Blizzard, along with Starcraft 2. The last one, still in beta testing, could have a great impact on Diablo 3 sales numbers.
Blizzard comes with a friendly approach for Diablo 3 fans and after a conference held within closed borders, one of Blizzard’s CEO, Mike Morhaime, officially states that the Diablo 3 release date will not be delayed because of Starcraft 2.
Asked if Blizzard will break the tradition of releasing 1 game/year, Mike Morhaime said that, for 2010, the company has plans to release 2 games, but he can not officially affirm what does 2 games will be.
Now judging by how things developed so far and our inside sources, there are 98 % chances that one of this games will be Starcraft 2 (read more HERE) and maybe 60 % that Diablo 3 release date to be 2010 as well.
This Blizzard CEO has given us a lot to think about but it what he said will develop in Starcraft 2 and Diablo 3 being released this year, 2010, i don’t want anything for Christmas.

Don’t know if you know this. But this announcement is quite old. Furthermore Diablo 3 has been slated for “2011 and beyond” in a public investor’s convention.
The two games Morhaime has definitey announced for 2010 are Starcraft 2 and World of Warcraft: Cataclysm. Effectively categorized as ‘titles’ being released this year.

yes possibly so they know which game is better so they can focus their money on one game instead of two, if one majorly outsales the other.
Yeah, I would be pretty embarrassed if this were my writing. Lots of speculation with minimal references, old quotes, and only a superficial effort in analysis.

Many online shops have started to promote Diablo 3 for pre-order here in the UK. They are suggesting that it’ll be out during the Spring of 2010. I suppose we’ll just to wait and see.

Hi, Its not completely without merit. Firstly these UK based online shops have only started to suggest Spring 2010 since after Christmas. Large stockists must be privy to info before us mere mortals. Additionally, even though the CEO “suggested” that they may release only 2 new titles in 2010, does the WOW title count as a new game or an expansion? Naturally, Blizzard are not going to suggest a date until their sure they can be ready in time, but also, if the game IS ready it doesn’t make any kind of business sense to stall its release unnecessarily. We are all waiting, guessing, and hoping, let’s pray they don’t keep us waiting too long. Best wishes mate.

lol…how is that competing with themselves?…do you only buy one game a year? Does Toyota and Honda just sell one type of car so they don’t compete with themselves?…rofl…two different genres of game
^ Agreed…Plus you can pre-order diablo 3 at gamestop now for december release date …. not that it will come out in december but you can still pre-order it which is a plus…in the united states anyway.
This is bs, i just wanna play D3. Is that too much to ask? Ive been following this for months now, lets get this thing rolling.
It will come in due time, I want it as bad as the rest of you. The longer we wait the better it will be as far as game play, so lets just relax and sell our D2 accounts when we see the end of the tunnel.
iv herd about d3 comming out at the end of the year for a couple months and yes i can pre order it here in US Michigan for novender-december, but no specific date…
i got really up set when i saw that guy say somethign about it being sc2 and the new WOW, but D3 guy is right WOW is just an expansion and what the other guy said, it wouldn’t compete, all the fans who like both will still buy both, i know times are a little rough with the economy but geez im sure no ones gonna lose sleep bc they cant decide which one they want more… and i dont think the CEO is dumb enough to say 2 new games when he knows WOW is new… hes not the CEO bc he looks good… GO D3 2010 OWW OWW!!!!!!!! (p.s. i hope people dont ruin D3 like they did with D2 with all the duping and buying gear off line…)

What most poeple want to know is! Dose the D3 run on any computer. IF not, what can it. So Well there be any downloads posible. Well there be a exp. dice to the game like D2. IF so, they need to make sure it can run on the D3 exp. dice game with the same computer and not differnt one. Bloggers emaail me and tell me more about what there going to do about the date problem because they need to put everything they can think of and do the best they can but I do understand that they need more time because new ideas come to them everyday like it dose me. Hopely it well not be a wow and d2 mix, because they just need to keep d1 d2 going on with the story. More then likly they well
