Battlefield Bad Company 2 Disconnects, PC Multiplayer with problems
Battlefield: Bad Company 2 has been launched on March 2nd in North America and will be launched today, March 5th, in Europe.
The sequel to the console exclusive game has been welcomed with a lot of enthusiasm by the critics. The PC version of Battlefield Bad Company 2 has received an 8.9 (“Great”) at IGN, 4.5 stars (out of 5) at Gamespy. Gamespot hasn’t noted the PC version yet but the console version has received a 9 (“Editors’ Choice”). All good and well for for PC gamers right? Wrooong!

There are some issues that keep people from being on-line for too long. If you’re not getting kicked at random or for a PunkBuster violation, then you probably are not able to connect to EA Online or you’re looking at the master server list seeing exactly……NOTHING. Either all that or you get a CTD. Way too go EA!
Hopefully these issues will be soon fixed so that PC gamers can properly enjoy Battlefield Bad Company 2. Fortunately the good people at EA/DICE are aware of the problems plaguing the game’s launch and are trying to fix them. The OfficialBFBC2 Twitter feed states:
“We are aware of the connection issue some PC users are experiencing. We are working on a solution.“
The developers of Battlefield Bad Company 2 are currently sending out R4 servers to their hosting providers which will hopefully solve this issue. In the meantime they have posted some tricks you can try until the hosts will finish updating their servers (don’t hold your breath though):
“Here are a few steps to try to connect to servers:
Uninstall the BC2 BETA
Look in MY Documents for BC2 BETA directory. If it exists delete it.
Look where BC2 BETA was installed, if the BC2 BETA directory remains, delete it.
Try running the game again.For all the players connecting to servers and being kicked straight away (and pbsetup.exe or manual updating didn’t help) then you will be happy to know we are sending out R4 servers to our hosting providers which will hopefully solve this issue.“
Let’s hope things get sorted up real soon, Battlefield Bad Company 2 deserves it.

I cant connect sometimes, i see the servers, but it always tells me connection has been lost -.-
….and now there are reports/rumors of a master server outage. 3-4 hours without service, site has not been updated and 2-3 hours & 20 minutes before they let anyone know of the problem on twitter.
yes it very awful for not able to log in even today it down on march 5th. can’t log in even though i was alittle disapointed. they sould made some real beta testers out there and complain about how it show how other can’t log in and how server sould be fast listing other server up to play sould be as fast as call of duty. to me they didn’t really made this game right either.I hope there another game come soon like BF2 they sould make a BF3 sound like EA doesn’t care what it going on. talk about the lack of lazy and a scammer.I was hopeing this game was the best of the best but no lack of easy get away game like the rest. sucks you people sould work harder for makeing games. people in the real world are hopeing for a better game. there alota sutff been pulled out of this game trun out it a nother scaming get away game again. this game was that it take for ever to look up a list of server rooms then when you try to join one then your happend to be kick or able to play or doesn’t log into the server some server didn’t update there punkbuster so it tells you to update it which is worng the server needs to or the they need a game update.talk about being lazy.
for one i had to really get it this game to really work.frist i had to disable the firewall to able to log into most server. secound i found out everyone need a DirectX update and i am thinking all server sould too. i think everyone sould update there system. another game down the drain. i am very unhappy about this newest game. I know i could make bettter game than this.

Yeah, you’d think after this many years and this many incarnations of online multi-player FP shooters that it wouldn’t be a major ordeal to release a game that actually *works* so that people can enjoy the $50.00 they spent on it…..thank you so much for failing so hard you goddam retards.
This might not be the entire problem. I have a similar issue when starting Multiplayer e.g from the Server Browser, Please wait spins for about 30 secs then returns me to the Server Browser without starting the muliplayer. Same for any server. Single player works OK.
I’ve never had the BBC2 Beta installed on this machine so the problem has got to be something different from what they are considering in the suggested fix.
Hey, can anyone tell me why my display flickers during game play and during explosions? I tried switching the video settings and no success. How can I correct this problem??? I am stumped!
hey mate… i had the same problem.. update your graphics card driver..
atleast that was it with me.. sometimes with big smoke’s and axplosions i got alot of strange colors and stuff.. now its fixed 
and btw… i cant play online… wont display servers at “server browser” cant see leaderboards either.. kinda weird.. i got the game for the PC ofcourse..
I can play fine, worked for about 2 days, now every game, i play for max 15mins then ‘lose connection to EA server’. Well annoying, for those of you who haven’t even had the chance to play, it is ace and will be well worth your wait when it works.
Why not release a game that works? Just puttin it out there…
when i want play multiplayer..the game ask to enter the serial key, i dont know how to get the serial key ..can you all help me..

i hav the same problem as fairuzjamaludin, wenvr i put in the serial code it says, code is invalid, or unable to login, do i put hyphons between each 4 letters of the code or spaces or what?

your serial numbers are on the back of the manual.
I guess that you aint got a manual, if thats the case then I cant (won’t) help you as you probably have an illegal copy..
I said probably so don’t get annoyed if your copy is legit, just get the manual and off ya go.
EA has more than a few problems…i assure u!
Take me: First i fell out of the game to desktop,then i fell out of the game to main menu(and was logged out on top of it). Then i could not connect because the serial was already i use (you don’t say). I finally got it sorted out after a whole day back and forth with EA support. Now i’m starting to get kicked for no reason,loose connection(again)and unable to connect to EA online:-/ We need bigger,better and faster servers,and we need a system that can handle all accounts and finally…we need a better stats update!

Same problem here (with legal version!). How did you solve it?
Contact them at support.ea.c o m (log in with your username and password) Click on ‘contact us’. State your EA account username,password and your serial for the game. Explain in depth your problem step by step. So far it’s the only way it seems. They will not freely admit to faults,so it may take some back and forth before it works out for u:-/ In the end it seems we just have to wait for them to update their servers etc…
