Pre-order iPad As Of Today 8:30AM EST, Release Date Still April 3rd

Apple did not officially release the iPad for pre-order, however, some folks are receiving news updates which say that pre-orders will begin today at 8:30AM EST or 5:30 AM PT. The iPad was unveiled quite a while ago (for me six weeks represents a long period of time) and it will become available on April 3rd therefore if you pre-order it now, you will get it on launch day, but that’s valid only for the WiFi-only version. The iPad WiFi plus 3G version will be shipping in late April.

If you’ll be up and ready so early in the morning then all that’s left for you is to decide what version you will get: the iPad WiFi-only is available in 16GB / 32GB /64GB for $499 / $599 / $699, while the WiFi plus 3G costs $629 / $729 / $829 (same capacity). Apple’s slate will not be only US-bound and it will become available in some countries around the world like Germany, Spain, Australia, France, UK, Switzerland, Italy, Japan, and Canada.
