I will admit that accidents are something useful. And funny. This is not a rumor: Windows 7 will be available as of October 23 this year. How do we know? Well, Acer slipped it for us. The company were announcing their Z5600 PC and said that it will come pre-loaded with Windows 7. Before this, reports showed that Windows 7 will be available in late-2009, while Microsoft said it will be out in January 2010. The fun part is that Microsoft declined to comment what Bobby Watkins from Acer said.
“23rd October is the date the Windows 7 will be available. There is a 30 day upgrade time so that customers don’t wait to buy a new computer, so if you buy during that 30 day period, you’ll get a free upgrade to Windows 7″, said Bobby Watkins.

Acer’s latest Z5600 computer is an all-in-one PC and it was designed especially for Windows 7. The Acer Z5600 will be shipped as of September for those who don’t like to wait, but with Vista. However, if you purchase the all-in-one PC with 30 days before the Windows 7 launch, then you will get a free software upgrade: from Vista to 7.
For the moment we don’t know how much Acer Z5600 will cost, or how much Windows 7 will cost. I guess we just have to wait. Time passes quickly…

nice read thanks, I’m just happy that I don’t have to deal with Vista!
