Apple has released the iPhone 3.0 beta 4 OS to developers a few days ago, and some thought that it will take a very long time to jailbreak it, however, some guys from Russia released an unofficial jailbreak that works with first-gen iPhone, iPhone 3G, and first-gen iPod touch. The key to the iPhone 3.0 beta 4 consists of Icy which is installed before Cydia. Although Icy is not as good as Cydia, and it’s very hard to use as well, Cydia is doesn’t work with 3.0 and until these guys get their hands on an Cydia update we are stuck with Icy.

You have to remember that this is not an official jailbreak, and it’s destined only for Windows users, while a Mac version is not coming soon. The Mac version to jailbreak iPhone OS 3.0 beta 4 will be released by the Dev team, however, they will release it when Apple will officially launch iPhone 3.0 OS.

If you are part of the Dev team, you probably know that if you upgrade to OS 3.0 then your iPhone baseband will be changed therefore the YellowSnow Unlock will no longer be functional, and besides that, downgrading will no longer be possible.
