Wolfram Alpha Search Engine Coming This May – Not Exactly The Google Killer
The long-expected Wolfram Alpha search engine is due to be launched this month. We are waiting for it anxiously as unfortunately we didn’t get the opportunity to test it, however, others did and it looks amazing. I will start with the fact that many said that this is the Google Killer, but in fact Wolfram Alpha is not a conventional search engine, it is more a computational knowledge engine which is based on ideas from Stephen Wolfram. Recently, Google launched its public data search, and not even that can be compared to Wolfram Alpha.

Others have said that Wolfram Alpha is more of a Wikipedia Killer and that is partly true as it provides incredible answers to your search. This upcoming computational knowledge engine will offer features never seen before on a search engine. Although there are other “products” like Wolfram Alpha, none of them went live so far.
Meanwhile, you can check the video below to see Wolfram Alpha in action, but sorry for the quality of the video. It’s a little blurry, but you can make yourself an idea of what the new computational knowledge engine will be. Well, we are going to let you know when Wolfram Alpha goes live as you definitely have to give it a try. We sure know that we will play with it all day long. Hopefully, their servers won’t crash due to traffic inflation.

Wolfram Alpha is a good news in the area of search engines. It has some advantages compared to the other search engines. Still, it is not the competition to Google or other search engines, since it uses totally different approach. It is more like dictionary or encyclopedia than search engine.
I like Wolfram Alpha. It offers a completely new way of searching for information.
